Checker

DMARC record checker

Look up a domain's DMARC record and get every setting explained in plain language: policy, reports, alignment.

What the DMARC checker checks

DMARC ties SPF and DKIM to the visible sender address and defines what happens to emails that fail. The checker looks for the record at _dmarc. of the domain – and, if there is none, at the parent domain, whose record then applies.

  • p=none is the right start, but doesn't protect against forgery.
  • p=quarantine and p=reject protect you – but only once all legitimate senders pass SPF or DKIM with an aligned domain.
  • Without rua= you get no reports and don't know who is sending in your name.

FAQ

How do I check my DMARC record?

Enter your domain. We read the record at _dmarc and explain every setting: policy, report addresses, alignment and percentage.

What do p=none, quarantine and reject mean?

p=none only collects reports, p=quarantine sends failing email to spam, p=reject has it rejected. The goal is reject once all legitimate senders pass.

Does the DMARC record apply to subdomains?

Yes, as long as the subdomain has no record of its own. With sp= you can set a separate policy for subdomains.
